Colombia – Valle | CRIIA Institute Advances Dual Vocational Training

From October 6 to 10, the CRIIA Institute continued training instructors from the ITAF centers operated by the Smurfit Westrock Colombia Foundation in the departments of Cauca and Valle. This program, certified as a Diploma by the University of San Carlos of Guatemala, is part of the cooperation agreement between the two institutions. Its conclusion is scheduled for January 2026, when participants will present their applied pedagogical research projects.

CRIIA also took part in the panel “Dual Vocational Training in an International Perspective: Challenges and Lessons Learned” at the 2nd International Congress Entrecruzando Caminos, organized by ICSEF in Fusagasugá. Representing CRIIA, José Crisanto Vacca highlighted the evolution of Colombia’s Dual/Alternation Training model, from the CEFFA experience to today’s ITAF system.
